Natalie Briffa Farrugia  Chief Executive Officer

Natalie Briffa-Farrugia joined the Caremalta group in June 2006 as Director of Operations where she has assumed leadership in the operations of all the homes working in close collaboration with all the Facility Managers of all the facilities. After 5 years in this post she succeeded Ing. Alex Tranter and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the group in April 2010. Natalie’s extensive experience in the industry, her strong background in missionary work and her academic background in psychology and management has strengthened the care philosophy and enhanced the group’s commitment to achieve the highest quality of service whilst encouraging further development of its workforce.

 

Charlo Bonnici  Group Head, Human Resources and Marketing

Charlo’ joined the company in May 2008 as the first HR Manager of the company. He was entrusted with the task of the setting up the department and to implement a number of HR-related policies and procedures and to re-structure training to better address the needs of an ever-growing workforce. Charlo’s experience in this field goes back to 1986 when first he joined the Public Sector’s Health Department and later the Parliamentary Secretariat for the Elderly. In May 2010 Charlo’ was appointed Group Head of HR and Marketing for the Vassallo Group. For yet another time, this move entailed the setting up of another new department, marketing, a challenge he was willing to take up. Charlo’ holds a BA degree in languages, a post-graduate diploma in geriatrics and gerontology and a Masters Degree in
Communications.

 

James Sciriha  Group Financial Controller

James first joined the group in 2001 as a student worker whilst studying at University. In 2010, he rejoined the company as a Group Financial Controller after working, specialising and gaining experience in funds and securitization both locally and overseas with an international audit firm for 3 years. James holds a Bachelor in Commerce and Accountancy from the University of Malta and a Diploma in Fund Administration from the University of Manchester. He won prestigious awards such as the Institute of Financial Services overall excellent student in 2010 and the John Earland Prize Fund award 2010 supported by the Central Bank of Malta. James is responsible for the management of the accounts department.

 

 

Neville Schembri  Group Care Manager

A Registered Nurse by profession continued to further hi studies in Health Sciences at the University of Malta whereby he obtained a Post-Qualification Diploma and Master of Health Science degree in Health Services Management. Neville joined the group in December 2002 as Cospicua Home Facility Manager. In 2009, he was appointed as the Group Care Manager. His job entails ensuring delivery of quality care services throughout all CareMalta operated homes and facilities in line with established statutory care standards.

 

 

Paul Pace  Group Services Manager

Paul Pace has been appointed as the Group’s Services Manager. He succeeds Massimo Azzopardi who has moved on after serving 3 years in this role. Paul comes from the Hospitality Industry with 16 years of experience in 4 and 5 star hotels locally and abroad, managing the hotel accommodations and the Room Division dept. In January 2008, he joined the Group as Facility Manager responsible for the operations and running of Dar il-Madonna tal-Mellieha, which was officially inaugurated on March 2008. In 2009, Paul was also appointed Facility Manager of Prince of Wales Independent Living apartments.
