In 2009, CareMalta was accredited as the first Education and Training Centre in Malta to offer City and Guilds Health Care qualifications. Students following such courses have the opportunity to gain practical experience at one of our CareMalta Homes for the older persons whilst studying for the:
- IVQ (International Vocational Qualification) Diploma in Health Care or
- The Specialist Diploma in Health Care
Following the strong feedback that was received in response to its first course in Health Care, CareMalta continued to actively invest in the development of health care and launched its second course leading to a:
- Level 3 (MVQ) Diploma in Health Care
- Level 3 (MVQ) Specialist Diploma in Health Care
The Malta Qualifications Council has confirmed that City and Guilds Diplomas in Health Care are equivalent to 6 O’ Levels. The second course, which started in October 2010 will run for a total of eight months till June 2011. Courses cover other aspects of Healthcare will commence in October 2011. Lectures for both courses are being delivered at The Magister Academy in St Julian’s.
